Preschool Montessori Class Director, 3-6 years (Term 2+)
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Montessori 3-6 Educators to join the BMS team in 2026.
Working in our 3-6 preschool classrooms you will contribute to designing, planning, implementing and evaluating the educational programs and practices, including following and implementing an approved learning framework, as well ensuring the Montessori curriculum has been aligned with the outcomes as required by NESA and the Early Years Learning Framework.
About You:
Proven experience leading a 3-6 Montessori classroom.
Passion for Montessori philosophy.
Patience and empathy.
Creativity and flexibility.
Strong organisation and communication skills.
Willingness to work as part of a small team and provide flexible support across various functions within the school environment.
Qualifications Required:
A Montessori 3-6 teaching qualification from a recognised Montessori training institution (AMI or equivalent)
A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or an ACECQA approved equivalent (desirable)
NESA Teacher Accreditation or ability to achieve (desirable)
Current Working with Children Check
Proficiency in EYLF and National Quality Standards
Up to date First Aid, Child Protection and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
Australian Working Rights

Upper Primary Montessori Class Director, 9-12 years (Term 3+)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Montessori Upper Primary Teacher to lead our established 9–12 classroom with an authentic Montessori program. Students engage in collaborative inquiry, independent research, and meaningful real-world experiences. We are looking for a Montessori educator committed to authentic Montessori practice who enjoys working collaboratively within a thoughtful and supportive school community.
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to guide students within a mixed-age classroom, during one of the most dynamic stages of Montessori development.
The successful candidate will support children as they deepen their intellectual curiosity, strengthen their independence, and explore their place within the wider community.
The role involves preparing and maintaining a rich Montessori environment, guiding students through the Upper Primary curriculum, and supporting each child’s academic, social, and emotional development.
Our Upper Primary program includes excursions, the Graduate trip to Canberra, and the annual Primary camp.
About You
Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) 6–12 Diploma (or equivalent Montessori training)
NESA accreditation or eligibility to obtain it
Experience leading a Montessori Upper Primary (9–12) classroom
Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and the second plane of development
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A commitment to authentic Montessori practice
