Lower Primary Montessori Class Director, 6-9 years

As the 6–9 Class Director, you’ll guide the 6-9 class through the Montessori primary curriculum. Working collaboratively with experienced colleagues, you’ll create a rich, inspiring learning environment that nurtures intellectual curiosity, independence, and respect. Being a a qualified Montessori Educator you bring warmth, curiosity, and professionalism to everything you do. You believe in the potential of every child and see teaching as a calling, not just a job.

About the Role

  • Planning and implementing a high-quality, fully aligned Montessori / NESA program

  • Creating and maintaining an engaging prepared environment

  • Building strong relationships with children and families

  • Participating in professional collaboration and ongoing reflection within our supportive team

  • Actively contributing to the life of our school through parent education and community events

About You

  • AMI or equivalent Montessori 6–12 diploma

  • Teaching qualifications recognized in Australia (or eligibility to obtain them)

  • A commitment to Montessori principles and continuous professional growth

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primary Classroom Support Educator (focus on 9-12 years)

Working closely alongside the Class Director to support children through the Montessori primary curriculum, with a particular focus on the upper primary (9–12) years. You will contribute to a calm, purposeful, and engaging learning environment that nurtures independence, curiosity, collaboration, and respect. You bring warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism to your work, and genuinely enjoy supporting children as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role

  • Assisting in the preparation, maintenance, and care of a rich Montessori prepared environment.

  • Supporting individual and small-group learning, helping children develop independence and responsibility.

  • Building positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Participating in team meetings, professional reflection, and ongoing learning.

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including community and parent education events.

About You

  • An interest in Montessori education and child development or openness to learn.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a teaching team.

  • A calm, flexible, and thoughtful approach to supporting children aged 9–12.

  • A commitment to professional growth and reflective practice.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Montessori qualifications and experience an advantage

  • Current Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate and the right to work in Australia
