Barrenjoey Montessori School was
established in Newport in 1985 by a group of interested parents.
Its success resulted in a purpose-built
school, located behind the sand dunes of North Avalon.
The school has been operating at
its present site since 1990. In 1997, increased demand for
places led to an expansion with the addition of an extended
day classroom.
In 2002, the school added an afternoon
care program, utillising the extra space created by combining
the two classrooms into one.
The annual report for 2008 is a report by the President
detailing the conduct of the school the previous year,
including enrolments, and significant events - an overall
assessment of the year.
