9am to 11am Saturday 26 November 2011
Every year our students have the opportunity to bring a Guest into their classroom to share a little of their daily work at school. Children usually choose a parent or grandparent and love the chance to share their environment.
This year we are also having an Open Day for members of the community to visit our school.

The annual Barrenjoey Montessori School Fun Fair & Open Day
Sunday 29 May 2011
9am – 2pm
Des Creagh Reserve, North Avalon (next to North Avalon Beach carpark)
Barrenjoey Montessori School invites all children and their parents to our annual fun filled family event. Our event has been part of the community since 1985 and is much looked forward to for a number of reasons.
It is call the Festival of Small Hands as it is tailored first and foremost for our children. But parents, grandparents and family friends can have a great time too. From rides, crafts and creative activities, to music and great food, there is something for everyone.
We have just recently completed the school expansion project, adding a second building, thanks to the government education grant. The new building provides a second 3-6yrs classroom, allows us to bring our 0-3yrs program in-house and creates space for a new primary class in 2012.
The Hon. Rob Stokes, our MP for Pittwater, will officially open our new building at 1pm to mark this special occasion.
If you would like to visit our school and learn about the approach and benefits of a Montessori education, you will also have the opportunity to talk to students, parents and teachers and stroll through the classrooms and school grounds.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing in the celebration and fun.
Join us at 7PM at our school for an interesting evening of Montessori insights and discussions with our teachers. All parents and interested people are invited to attend - call us on 9973 1422 for more info.
